James Collins
Pastor

James Collins.JPGJames Collins was inducted as Pastor in June 2007.
Brought up in Slough, Berkshire, he comes from
a Pentecostal background, but started attending a Baptist church at 21. After gaining his degree in Information Management at Thames Valley University, he spent a year lecturing in Information Technology at Amersham and Wycombe College before enrolling at the London School of Theology to train for the ministry.

Following his graduation in 1999, he served as pastor for student ministries at Gold Hill Baptist Church, Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, before being called to the pastorate of Morden Park Baptist Church in 2002. Having continued his studies, he was awarded a PhD from Brunel University in 2007. He is married to Naomi and they have two children,
Katie and Michael.

Roberta Day, formerly our Pastoral Assistant, has recently been appointed Minister-in-Training. and assists the Pastor in the oversight of the church, together with our Ministry Coordinator, Gerald Day, and the Eldership who are appointed by the Church.

Our Deacons are appointed to enable the Pastor and the Eldership team to focus on overseeing the Church as a whole. Deacons are responsible for supervising specific areas of Church life.

Our Church Members Meeting provides an invaluable regular opportunity for consultation and the confirmation of major decisions.

You are welcome to join in the life and activities of the Church, whether or not you are a member. However, we do believe that Church membership is part of God's provision to enable Christians to grow.

Membership of Redhill Baptist Church is open to all Christians who have been baptised by immersion as believers, and who believe that this is the Church where God wants them to belong.

Eldership team: Terry Bliault, John Capon, Marcus Culverwell, Martin Harper, Hilary Mak, Lee Newland and Kate Weekes.
