John & Sian Nelstrop

Coordinators for Music & Worship

John and Siân have been married for over 20 years and have lived in Redhill since 1998, when they moved from London (where they met) after finishing their studies. They have two wonderful daughters Megan 17 and Bronwen 15, who attend Reigate College and St Bede’s School.

John is a civil servant, and Siân is a GP partner in Horley. Prior to attending RBC they served at Redhill Vineyard, where they were members of the leadership team and responsible for worship.

When John and Siân first came to Redhill Baptist Church they felt God’s call to serve and within months became members and led a growth group which ran for the next 4-5 years. They have been involved in youth work and have been involved in worship since 2011. They are passionate about worshiping God and have a vision to see an increase of God’s transforming Presence and Power within the church that will overflow into our town and country.

They believe that the Word, worship and prayer go hand in hand in balanced unity, and that as the church presses in to all three; faith grows and fruit is born. In music and singing they believe that God has given man a simple yet powerful way for us to pour out our heartfelt love, praise and adoration to Him that honours and blesses Him, but also brings revelation producing a response within us that realigns and awakens us as the Children of God.

Their vision is for there to be a deepening of our encounter with the Father, to have a greater freedom of expression in our worship, to see the church and our faith strengthened and growing, and for us to be empowered by His Spirit so that there is an overflow into our town and the surrounding area, drawing people in and making Jesus known.
