SEBA Home Mission

“When we want to do things together then we need to find the money from Home Mission. I want you to be really excited about Home Mission, because it enables us to do an immense range of things together. And all of those activities are inspired by the fact that we are united in wanting to encourage missionary disciples. That is to say, we want to be obedient to the words of Jesus who called us to follow him and to encourage others to do the same.” (Revd Jonathan Edwards)

The Baptist Union of Great Britain has thirteen regional associations. Each regional association has a team of regional ministers and administration staff that support the local church pastorally, advise on mission and practical matters and organise beneficial training events.

Representatives of each association are part of the National Settlement Team which meets ten times a year to help churches looking for ministers to be put in touch with ministers and final year student ministers seeking settlement.

All the work of the regional associations is funded by Home Mission giving from local churches and individuals.

Each month will see a new Home Mission Focus, giving you up-to-date information on a national Baptist Home Mission story or a local Home Mission situation within the Association (SEBA) itself.

This month’s  Home Mission news is from Revd Andrew Mumford, minister at South Ashford Baptist Church
